the goats

ben
One afternoon, an herdsman went out to see why some of his flock were growling unexpectedly. Significantly, he saw the goats were troubling the other animals in the barn. He didn't tolerate the goats for bringing chaos in the group of breeds. Quickly, he meddled into their brawls with his rod. With not much force, he poked the goats' asses which made them ran as fast as a flash. After that, no more roars nor gruff being heard in the barn.

The sun was biting darkness when he found out that some goats were missing. He walked through the ends of the fields knowing his ways were dim and shady. Inspite of that, he continued to seek the path where the goats trod until darkness fell into arms of the night. As he rested and waited under a tree away from the barn, still the goats were out-of-sight.

As the morning came, he eagerly stood up and straightly went to the barn. There he saw nothing of the goats. As he began to worry, he opened his mouth and uttered a sound that all the animals in the area would respond. Quickly, all the animals came close where the sound was. Yet, the goats were nowhere to be found.

After some crying and gnarling from the herdsman, he saw from afar the little horns of these goats who stormed out last night. He sounded louder and the goats approached nearer to their leader. The herdsman smiled and he began to lead all his flock.

Sometimes, we are like goats that stow away from our herdsman. But at the end of the day, when we hear the voiceof the one who leads us, we come close to that familiar sound and be guided all at once.
