friendship

ben
When he pulled the trigger, he saw that his friend, Andrew, was in the crowd. No more. It was done.

He and Andrew were friends for a long time. Though their relationship was as close as a brother, their beliefs varied like enemies. He was a policeman and Andrew was an insurgent. Totally weird, but real.

When a very dreadful brawl spurted between the uniformed and the rebels, He didn't imagine that Andrew was in the throng. When he aimed to shoot a rebel who targeted to shoot him at first, Andrew appeared in front of the rebel. He couldn't take the bullet back so Andrew was the one who received it. He never knew it was going to be Andrew's bullet.

After the incident, he ran towards Andrew and quickly carried him to a more peaceful place nearby. Andrew was bleeding so he called an ambulance and accompanied him all the way to the hospital.

He stayed almost every night in the room just to see if Andrew would be awakened or not. Miraculously, Andrew was given another chance to live. He confessed to Andrew, "I'm sorry. It was not really you, but it was you who were hurt." Andrew grabbed his hand, "I know. I understand you. Don't worry. I am not angry. I am still your bestfriend."

There are times when we hurt our friends unintentionally and we regret that things should have not happened. Whatever principles or beliefs we have individually, don't forget to show care and compassion to them even in the roughest moments of our friendships.
